The arsenal stamps show that this is a Tokyo First sword produced under Kokura administration.

1 Japanese WWII Army Officer’s katana available. The blade was carried by Samurai in the 1600’s A.D. The blade was remounted in Army mounts for carry in World War 2. This antique Japanese katana would make an important acquisition for any collection.
The unsigned blade measures 21 1/4″ (54 cm) from blade tip to notch in the blade spine.
This sword has premium koshirae/mounts. The mounts would have been expensive the Officer who purchased them. There are Silver Samurai mon over the menuki, and Silver family name on the kashira fitting. Family mon located over the army menuki are difficult to find.
The saya is the early type with a high grade spatter lacquer textured finish. This sword has a high grade clasped hands sarute.

1 rare Meiji period through World War II Japanese Samurai Forestry Dirk available. This large Japanese dirk is early–and has a traditional Samurai blade in it. This dagger would make an exceptionally rare addition to any collection.
The traditional blade is signed ‘Kunimoto’. This dirk has a sharkskin saya. The habaki is covered in gold gilt, and has no wear.
The blade measures 9 13/16″. This large dagger measures 15″ overall.
This is a harder to find early Forestry dagger.

This Marine Raider stiletto measures 11 7/8″ overall. The blade itself measures 6 11/16″. See page 86 of Mike Silvey’s book Knives of the United States Military — World War II for a photo of the Raider stiletto.
The back of the scabbard is marked in red with the Raider’s name ‘CORP. ELTON _ . ____E‘. The back of the sheath is also marked ‘USMC‘. The front is marked ‘U S M C‘. The front of the sheath also has a Marine Corps insignia affixed to it. The leg tie-down thongs are still attached.

The blade is a Samurai blade from the early 1800’s. The WW2 Army Officer sword mounts are in exceptional condition. The unsigned blade has a killer hamon/temper line. This is a beautiful sword. The nakago/tang has 3 holes in it–so was remounted several times.
The blade measures 26 3/16″ (66.5 cm) from blade tip to notch in the blade spine. The saya is the early type with a high grade lacquer finish.
This sword has its original surrender tag attached to it. The tag has been translated–the Army Officer who surrendered this sword was ‘Doishi Sousuke’. -

This is a papered sword–always nice to have a few papered swords in the collection. This sword was made by Yoshinobu between 1615 and 1624 A.D. This sword was carried by Samurai and then remounted for carry by an Army Officer during World War 2.
This sword has a silver Samurai family mon. The temper line on this sword is very beautiful.
The original Shinsa worksheet is also included with this papered sword.
Of special interest on this sword–when the sword was shortened, the original signature was inlayed onto the shortened nakago. Most collectors and dealers will note that most inlayed signatures occur on very nice swords.

This WW2 Army sword is signed. The swordsmith is Kaneyoshi. There is a Seki stamp on the nakago/tang. This is a nice looking sword–note the double hanger, the great leather combat cover with all of its snaps still intact, the silk sarute/loop, and the wavy temper line.

This 17th Century sword was later carried during World War 2. The leather combat cover over the wood saya shows that this sword was carried during the second World War.
The nakago/tang is unsigned. The menuki are gold gilt and shakudo Fu dogs. The fuchi/kashira are matching. The blade measures 21 5/16″ from the tip to the bottom of the notch in the habaki. The hamon/temper line isn’t the easiest to see–the blade has surface finish scratches. But, the hamon is wavy.

In the hands of a skilled Samurai or swordsman, the bohi grooves produce a terrifying whistle when the sword is wielded. This World War 2 Japanese katana would make an important acquisition for any collection.
This WW2 sword has a leather combat cover–indicating carry by an IJA Army Officer. This gendai is unsigned.
The blade measures 24 3/32″ from the blade tip to the bottom of the notch in the habaki.
This sword has a straight/suguha hamon/temper line.
It’s also super cool that the blade grooves follow through all the way down through the nakago–all the way to the end.

1 antique WW2 Japanese Samurai tanto sword available. This antique Japanese tanto would make a nice acquisition for a collection.
Tanto swords like this were carried in regular Japanese Army soldiers’ packs to bring with them the spirit of the Samurai. Only Japanese Officers and NCO’s were allowed to carry the much larger katanas. These tanto were also carried in case seppuku was needed.
This tanto is engraved with sanscrit bonji. This tanto was fashioned after Sanyo Munechika’s famous kogarasu-maru double-edged sword.
The blade measures 7 3/16” (18.2 cm) from blade tip to notch in the blade spine. This tanto measures 12 1/2” overall (31.5 cm) when in its saya/scabbard. This tanto has the desirable and hard-to-find kogarasumaru blade shape.
