Description
One of the most rare World War 2 second pattern Fairbairn-Sykes commando knives available. This rare maker knife by J & I Marshall of Glasgow, Scotland, would make a holy grail addition to any collection.
The website, The Fairbairn Sykes Fighting Knives, lists this maker on their ‘Rarest of Them All’ page. Here is the link:

This knife has a 6 13/16″ blade, and measures 11 13/16″ overall. There are no stamps on the underside of the guard on the J & I Marshall knife.
The sheath has no markings (no ENGLAND stamp).
CONDITION:
This knife is in excellent condition. The blade has carbon staining. There is a dent on one side the knurled handle–which was perhaps caused by shrapnel or a bullet at the end of its ballistic energy. The scabbard is excellent–even its nylon keeper strap is still present!
This knife is among the most rare of World War 2 Fairbairn-Sykes fighting knives.
