1 Special Order Japanese WW2 sword by Tokiyoshi. This fine antique Japanese sword would make an important acquisition for any collection.
This sword bears the Special Order inscription on the nakago ‘Made for Sagawa Akita’. The sword is signed and dated by the smith ‘Yamaha Minamoto no Tomiyoshi — Spring 1890’.
This is a traditionally-made sword. This sword has very early (1936-1938) Army mounts. Note the oversized tsuba, elongated kashira (pommel fitting), and attractive raised cherry blossom saya lock release.
The blade measures 25 1/16″ (63.6cm) from blade tip to notch in the blade spine. As mentioned, this is a traditional blade.
The slender, rather elegant sword has a suguha (straight) temper line/hamon.

Nobufusa was judged a Sword Forging Teacher at the 1941 Exhibition. Nobufusa was a highly rated gendai smith–2.5 Million Yen. The traditional, water-tempered blade measures 68.3 cm (26 7/8″) from blade tip to notch in the blade spine. This gendai was mounted in Samurai koshirae for the War.

This fine S&K U.S. Naval Officer’s sword has fine mother-of-pearl grips. The blade has gold filigree, and is decorated with flags, banners, and a marching drum. The large turned-down counterguard is decorated with Sitting Liberty, a ship, an anchor, and an eagle holding arrows and olive leaves. The brass scabbard has two rings, and a frog stud. The scabbard is decorated with flower designs.
This sword measures 33 7/8″ long.

This yari was brought back by a G.I. after World War 2. The pole was cut down (like most were) so it could fit in the G.I.’s duffel bag.
This yari measures 17 3/16″ including the nakago. The point itself measures 6 9/16″. With its cut-down pole, this yari measures 38″ overall.
The yari spearpoint is marked with Japanese kanji.

This antique ca.1920’s Tomahawk hand axe is ingenious in that the hunting knife is stored in the hatchet’s handle. In addition, this hatchet knife combo comes with its original leather sheath. There are two Tomahawk accessories that would be pretty much impossible to find still: an original Tomahawk brand book of matches, and a working Tomahawk brand compass!
The knife tang is stamped ‘TOMAHAWK CLINTON, MASS.’. The knife has a 4 3/16″ blade. The knife measures 7 13/16″ overall. The knife pommel has the inlayed image of a Native American chief. The knife is released from the hatchet handle by pressing on a spring in the pommel. The hatchet measures 11 1/2″ overall. The original owner’s name is written on the sheath and on the matches.

The scabbard on a Robeson USMC Mark 2 needs to have black stitches—which this knife does have. Also the pommel has the correct welded tang.
