Description
1 rare World War II Japanese Samurai Army Air Force dagger available. This Japanese dirk is among the most rare of all Japanese dirks. There are very few examples known to exist. This dagger would make an exceptionally rare addition to any collection.

The blade measures 8 5/16″ (20.3 cm). This dagger measures 13 1/4″ overall.
All fittings are of excellent quality. Note the fine gold wash habaki with falling rain pattern. The G.I. that brought this dirk back scratched his nickname ‘RED’ lightly on the saya.
This is a rare Japanese dagger.
CONDITION:
Excellent condition. The handle wire is intact and all fittings are in excellent condition. The blade’s acid-etched yakiba (hamon) is visible on 80% of both sides of the blade. There are small darkened areas toward the blade tip where there is some plating loss.
