A rare Vietnam period 1968 Gerber Mark II grouping belonging to US Navy Aviation Machinist’s Mate (Fighter Jet Engine Mechanic) Dennis R. Bacon who served aboard the U.S.S. Hornet Carrier during Vietnam. He participated in the U.S.S. Hornet Apollo 11 and Apollo 12 Lunar Space Capsule Recovery Missions.
Included in this grouping are ADJ3 Bacon’s ID cards, his 1968 Gerber Mark II, theater of operation badges, Apollo 11 and Apollo 12 Lunar Recovery Missions printed materials, his deck caps–including his Apollo 12 Space Recovery Mission cap, and his deck jacket with patches.
This is a large and desirable Vietnam/U.S. Space Program/fighting knife cross-collectible grouping.
His 1968 Mark II is ID’d on the blade with his name and serial #. The knife’s serial number is 009080.
