This Japanese katana has an exceptional hamon–this sword could be something really good. This sword is unsigned. The next shinsa in the U.S. isn’t until April 2021. The blade measures 26 1/2″ (67.3 cm) from the blade tip to the bottom of the notch in the habaki. The saya and tsuka wrap are new. If not offering in shirasaya, Japanese dealers have mounts/koshirae made when a sword is missing koshirae before they are offered for sale. The fuchi, kashira, saya drag, and habaki all have a matching motif. This sword is in fine polish.
