1 incredible U.S. World War 2 Fairbairn-Sykes commando knife. This combat knife would make a rare addition to any collection.
Such a great knife. The handle is marked on one side 'H. Dunbar U.S.A. VictorY'. The reverse side is marked 'England June 4, 1944'. This date is just 2 days before the D-Day invasion. Pretty historic really--a U.S. Serviceman, in England, 2 days before the invasion. He could have been one of the troops on a boat or plane on this way to Normandy Beach within 36 hours later.
The blade measures 6 3/4".
This knife is in excellent condition! The original grind lines are strongly visible on the blade. The guard is nice and tight. The scabbard is in excellent condition.
