1 rare antique World War II Japanese Samurai IJA Army Officer's Type 94 shin-gunto sword available.  An early Type 94 double-hanger shin-gunto mount sword is so very rare to find.  Somewhere around just 1 in 1,000 Japanese Army swords are Type 94's.  This sword would make an important addition to any collection. 

The signed gendai blade measures 26 11/16" (67.8 cm) from blade tip to notch in the blade spine.  This sword has a hard to find crab claw hamon.  This sword has the gendai smith's Masayuki stamp.  

The second saya hanger is removable.  In fact, the second hanger was often removed while carrying the sword in the field.  All fittings have the high quality early reddish color fittings with gold gilt present.  

The seppa and tsuba have the matching assembly number '51'.

The blade is in original Japanese polish.  There are no nicks in the cutting edge.  There are absolutely no flaws or openings of any kind.  

No expensive polish is needed on this sword since it is in such a beautiful state of polish.  The mounts are in nearly perfect condition.  The saya locking mechanism works perfectly.
