1 antique Japanese nihonto Samurai ko-wakizashi sword available. This Samurai sword would make an important addition to any collection.
This sword is mumei--what a great sword to Shinsa!
The blade measures 12 15/16" (32.8 cm) from blade tip to notch in the blade spine.
This sword has a desirable wavy hamon/temper line. The tsuba is very nice. The tsuba has a handsome color. The fuch, kashira, and two of the saya fittings are matching--the motif is gumoka zogon (debris floating on water). Two of the saya fittings are missing--fortunately both fittings can be replaced by buffalo horn. Horn fittings would look very nice on this saya.
The blade is in original polish. There is an occasional minor finish scratch on the blade. There is an occasional tiny nick in the blade edge. The hamon and boshi are perfect. This sword will polish beautifully. There are three chips in the koshirae lacquer.
