1 antique 1715 A.D. Japanese tsuba from the John Yumoto collection.  John Yumoto authored THE starter book for new collectors of Japanese swords.  Yumoto's book is titled 'The Samurai Sword: A Handbook'.  This is an interesting piece from an interesting collection.  This fine iron tsuba would make an important addition to any collection.

This tsuba was made by Masafusa, an Ito School student of Masatsugu.  The tsuba is signed 'Bushu ju Masafusa'.  

The motif is of a Chinese dragon spear.  This tsuba features gold zogan.  

This iron tsuba measures 70 mm by 74 mm.  This tsuba is 4 mm thick. 

This fine antique Japanese sword tsuba is in very fine condition.
