1 vintage U.S. WWII Western L77 Stiletto fighting knife. This desirable U.S. fighting knife would make an important addition to any collection.
This Western L77 Stiletto has the very rare, highly collectible hanger-type sheath. The soldier who carried this knife marked his name on the back of the scabbard ‘R.J. MAUL‘.
The knife’s blade tang is stamped ‘WESTERN BOULDER, COLO. PAT.NO.1,967,479‘. This knife measures 11 1/4″ overall. The blade itself measures 6 15/16″ to the guard. The pommel and guard on this knife are made of orange bakelite.
The soldier blackened the front of the hanger sheath for night operations.

This exceptional WWII Western L77 stiletto is in beautiful condition. This knife was carried, but still has its original factory edge. The stacked leather handle, the guard, and pommel are all in exceptional condition. The rare hanger Western scabbard is in exceptional condition as well.
