1 WWII ‘Giant Jack Knife’ available. This exceptional WW2 US Aircrew survival knife would make an important addition to any collection.
Rare to have its original sheath with it!
This knife measures 6″ when closed. The knife blade itself measures 4 11/16″. The knife blade locks open with a linerlock. The saw blade measures 5″.
These knives were used to escape from downed aircraft. The knife blade was to be plunged through the fuselage. Then the saw blade was used to cut a hole in the fuselage to escape through.
This knife was brought home by a veteran from the War. In the late 1940’s/early 1950’s it was fairly common for veterans to have bringback items chromed–as is the case with this knife.
CONDITION:
This WWII ‘Giant Jack Knife’ is in excellent condition! The knife blade and saw are in excellent condition. The black bakelite handle scales are in excellent condition as well. And–the original green canvas sheath is quite perfect.
