1 Theater ID’d US WWII Military knife available. This knife is ID’d to the Alaska theater of operations. This U.S. military knife would make an important addition to any collection.
The sheath has the locations in the Alaska theater that the soldier served:
Adak, Amchitka, Kiska, Attu. Also at the top of the markings is written ‘AK’, and ‘a80’. Written below the islands is ‘Aleutian Islands’.
This knife measures 10 3/8″ overall. The blade itself measures 5 7/8″. The blade tang is stamped ‘Cattaraugus 225Q’.
The 225Q blade was designed extra thick for prying open shipping crates during the War. The pommel on the 225Q Quartermaster fighting knife has a hammer head for pounding the crate lids back down again.
The braided leather thong passed through a mounted brass ring is cool addition.
