1 very rare Japanese WW2 Nan’yo (South Seas) Colonial Sword available. This rare sword would make an important addition to any collection.

As mentioned in Jim Dawson’s book Swords of Imperial Japan 1868-1945, Cyclopedia Edition on page 350, “In 1914 the Japanese navy captured the islands that later became the Nan’yo Colony, and, initially, the navy administered the islands.”  The book photos above are from pages 350-352 in Jim’s book.  

The Nan’yo Colonial sword has the unique wreath and cherry blossom emblem on the backstrap ears.

CONDITION:

This sword is in exceptional condition.  The blade is perfect—no rust, and perfect yakiba hamon.  Perfect handle.  Perfect sharkskin (shagreen) saya/scabbard.
