1 vintage Belknap Hardware hatchet/hunting knife combo. This very fine Belknap hatchet/knife combo would make an important addition to any collection.
The hunting knife has a 4 9/16″ blade. It measures 8 1/4″ overall. The tang is stamped ‘BELKNAP LOUISVILLE’.
The hatchet measures 10 1/2″ overall. The hatchet head itself measures 2 3/8″ by 3 7/8″. The hatchet is stamped ‘BELKNAP HDWE & MFG. CO. TRADE MARK LOUISVILLE, KY BLUEGRASS‘.
This set has a handsome tool-worked leather sheath.
CONDITION:
This vintage Belknap hatchet/hunting knife combo set is in excellent condition. The hatchet’s edge is perfect with no sign of use. There is just some occasional carbon patina on the hatchet. The knife blade has sharpening marks. The stacked leather handles are in excellent condition. The belt sheath is nearly perfect.
