Description

1 antique 18th Century Indo Persian shield available.  This fine shield would make an important addition to any collection.

The outer edge of the shield is decorated with Arabic/Islamic script.  This shield has deep relief carving.

A brass rim encircles the shield.  Persian warriors with spears, khanjar, bow and arrows, war hammers, decorate this fine 18th Century piece.

The museum tag on the underside reads ’18th Cent. Turkish (re: DeYoung Museum).

Interestingly, the underside has a triangular piece of metal that was used to repair a crack.

 

CONDITION:

This antique Indo Persian shield is in exceptional condition.
