1 desirable Vietnam War Presentation plaque available. This piece was presented to U.S. Army Senior Advisor Robert R. Dunlap by South Vietnamese Brigadier General (at the time Colonel) Tran Van Nhut.
This plaque was made of native hardwood. It features a large carving chisel, and a presentation plate.
The presentation plate is inscribed ‘Tang Robert R. Dunlap Co. Van Pho Tinh Long, do Dai ta Tran Van Nhut va toan the Quan Dan Chinh Tinh Binh Long’. Translated to English ‘Presented to Robert R. Dunlap, Deputy Advisor of Binh Long Province, by Colonel Tran Van Nhut and all military, civilian, and administrative personnel of Binh Long Province‘.
This plaque measures 25 1/4″ by 8 3/4″.
Lieutenant Colonel Robert R. Dunlap was awarded the Silver Star was awarded the Silver Star for gallantry in action on September 22, 1971 while serving with the U.S. III Corps in Southeast Asia.
CONDITION:
This Vietnam War Presentation plaque is in excellent condition with patina to the brass plate (which can be polished by the buyer if desired).
