1 antique World War II Japanese samurai Army officer's shin-gunto sword with Officer's tassel.  This signed World War II Japanese Army Officer's katana would make an important addition to any collection.

This sword is signed.  The nakago has a Seki arsenal stamp.  This sword has a fine wavy temper line.  This sword has an Officer's tassel.  There are photos and sword bringback papers with this sword.  This vet brought back two swords.  Copies of each photo will be provided to the buyer of this sword.  The vet's son wouldn't let go of the original photos and bringback paper.

All sittings, including the seppa and tsuba, have the matching assembly number '6'.

The blade measures 24 3/8" (61.9 cm) from blade tip to notch in the blade spine.

This WW2 sword has absolutely no nicks.  The blade is perfectly straight.  The blade is covered in sort of clear-coat lacquer.  This sword is deliberately priced $500-600 below where I would normally price it--since the buyer may want to take the time to remove the clear coating on the blade, or to pay to have someone remove it.  Though the blade displays nicely as is--as can be seen in the photos.  There is absolutely no pitting on this sword.  There is barely an occasional, tiny carbon stain on the blade.

The hamon/temper line and boshi are perfectly healthy.
