1 antique World War II Japanese Army Samurai Officer's gendai shin-gunto sword.  This sword was made by Kanemitsu.  This fine World War II Japanese Army Officer's katana would make an important addition to any collection.

This sword is signed, 'Kanemitsu'.  This sword has a desirable three cedars temper line. 

This sword has a fine clasped hands sarute.  

The blade measures 25 1/16" (63.7 cm) from blade tip to notch in the blade spine.  

All sword fittings have matching assembly numbers.  The number '77' is stamped into each fitting.

This WW2 sword has a few small nail catcher-type nicks near the blade tip.  The blade is perfectly straight.  There are a few occasional small areas of minor carbon finish staining on the blade.  There is no pitting on the blade.  The fittings are in perfect condition.  The locking mechanism works perfectly.  The saya/scabbard is missing its drag fitting/ichizuke. 

The hamon/temper line, and boshi are perfectly healthy.
