1 vintage U.S. World War II Case Combat Smatchet.  This Smatchet is in rare condition, and is near-mint.  This knife would make an important addition to any collection.

This WWII Smatchet was made by Case.  The scabbard is a type I. 

This Smatchet measures 16 7/16" overall.  The blade itself measures 11 1/8".   The blade has a parkerized finish.  This knife has its original wrist thong. 

This original World War II Applegate-Fairbairn combat smatchet is in near-mint condition.  The parkerized blade is nearly perfect, and has not been used.  The handle and guard are tight with no looseness or wiggle whatsoever.  The wood handle scales and pommel are in perfect condition with not a single mark on them. 

The type I scabbard is in excellent condition.  All stitching and rivets are in perfect condition.  The keeper strap has one thin cut in it from one of the knife's edges, but does not affect the function of the keeper strap in any way.
