This V-44 was made by Western Cutlery--the rarest of all V-44's.  The blade is stamped 'WESTERN'.  This knife measures 14 1/2" overall.  The blade itself measures 9 1/4".  This knife has a steel guard, and black composite handle.   

This vintage WW2 Western V-44 is in exceptional condition!  The blade has only super minor surface staining, and an occasional spot of very light oxidation.  Bet almost all of it would come off with some Flitz or Simichrome on a rag if the buyer chooses to do that.  The handle is in perfect condition.  The guard is tight with no wiggle or movement of any kind.  The shdeath is in exceptional conditon.
