1 vintage U.S. World War 2 John Ek fighting knife. This desirable U.S. fighting knife would make an important addition to any collection.
This is the WW2 Ek model 1 fighting knife. The blade is stamped 'John Ek KNIFE HAMDEN, CONN.'. The blade's tang is stamped '1D918'.
This knife measures 12 3/8" overall. The blade itself measures 7 3/16" to the guard.
The G.I. that carried this knife put a lanyard hole through it (see photo 4 above).
This U.S. World War 2 John Ek model 1 is in excellent condition. The blade has oxidation--but it hasn't been cleaned up at all. The buyer may choose to clean it up a bit. The maple handle is in perfect condition. The sheath's keeper strap has some crazing on it. All stitches and rivets are in perfect condition.
