1 vintage U.S./Australian wood/aluminum V44 knife available. This rare model Aussie V44 combat knife would make an important addition to any collection.
This Australian V-44 has finger-grooved wood grips with a wide aluminum guard. The guard is marked with the soldier's initials 'E.F.'. This large knife measures 15" overall. The blade itself measures 9 5/8".
This vintage WW2 Kinfolks V-44 is in excellent condition. Everything is nice and tight on this knife with no looseness or wiggle. The blade has some occasional minor carbon staining/patina and sharpening marks from honing on a sharpening stone. One side of the handle has a hairline crack in the wood--but it is stable. The right throat rivet on the scabbard is wanting to give-up/separate from the scabbard, so the scabbard should be handled with care.
This rare model Australian wood/aluminum grip V44 knife deserves a home in a premium collection.
