This early Kabar has the thin pommel.
The blade on this desirable knuckle knife measures 6 7/8". The knife is marked 'KA-BAR OLEAN, N.Y.' on the front tang. The reverse tang is stamped 'USMC'.
This theater knuckle knife is likely the only one of its kind.
There is surface pitting on the blade. The blade edge is sharp. The guard and pommel are tight. A solid knife that could be carried into the field today. The keeper strap on the sheath is broken. There is a 1 1/2 inch slice at the left throat rivet.
