1 traditionally-made Japanese WW2 Navy gendai sword available. This fine antique Japanese sword would make an important acquisition for any collection.
This sword was made by Heijiro Nagashima Akimaro—a student of Akihide. Akimaro emphasized cutting ability in his work. The hamon style of his swords is made up of tight waves—a very distinctive style.
The blade measures 25 1/4” from blade tip to notch in the blade spine.
There are no nicks of any mentionable size. The blade has spots of minor pitting from spots of past spider rust—easily fixable with a basic polish. The hamon and boshi are perfectly healthy. The saya throat fitting is missing—which is replaceable with some searching and patience.
