1 desirable Japanese model 1889 Naval Prison Guard/Shore Patrol Sword.  This hard to find Japanese sword, with its anchor marks on the backstrap and on the saya/scabbard, would make a rare additon to any collection.

Photos are provided from Jim Dawson's reference book Swords of Imperial Japan 1868-1945 Cyclopedia Edition, pages 266 & 267.

This sword has an arsenal blade with a cutting edge of 24".

This is a fine example of this model.

This sword is in excellent condition.  The blade has no rust of corrosion of any kind.  There are also no edge nicks in the blade!  The tsuka/handle and handle wire are perfect.
