1 rare late 1800's thru World War II Japanese Samurai Forestry Dirk available.  This is a rare Japanese dirk--it is unusual to find a large, early Forestry dirk.  This dagger would make an exceptionally rare addition to any collection.

The blade measures 16 11/16" (42.4 cm).  This dagger measures 22" overall (55.9 cm). 

The blade is a handmade oil- or water-tempered blade.  The nakago is not signed.  

This is a rare variation Forestry dagger. 

The genuine Samurai blade will polish beautifully.  The wire wrap is missing on the handle.  The leather wrap on the wood saya has mostly flaked off.  The wood is cracked.  This early Forestry Dirk definitely has some wear.  This large Forestry Dirk is so very rare, and is so difficult to find.
