1 traditionally-made, water-tempered Japanese WW2 gendai sword by Ikkansai Kunimori available. Kunimori’s art name was Yasuhiro while he was at the Yasukuni Shrine. This fine antique Japanese sword would make an important acquisition for any collection.
The blade measures 26 3/16" from blade tip to notch in the blade spine. This is a traditional gendai sword--there are no arsenal or Showa stamps on the nakago.
Yasuhiro/Kunimori made mostly swords with suguha/straight hamons—this sword has a wavy hamon, quite rare for Kunimori.
This WW2 Japanese Army Officer's sword by Ikkansai Kunimori is in full polish.
