1 cool U.S. World War 2 Pacific theater hula girl decorated PAL fighting knife. This knife also comes with a letter from the vet, George O. Canfield, writing about a few recollections of his time serving in the Pacific Theater on board the U.S.S. Belleau Wood. This knife would make an important addition to any collection.
The U.S.S. Belleau Wood was an Independence Class light aircraft carrier.
In his letter the vet recalls a battle in Leyte Gulf off the Philippine Islands in October 1944.
The knife is a Pal fighting knife. The vet embellished his knife with Hawaiian hula girls, and aluminum plates on the front of the scabbard. Super cool!
This knife is in great condition, and could be carried into battle again today if needed.
