1 vintage Australian-made U.S. World War 2 V-44 fighting/survival knife. This ID'd WW2 fighting knife has the maker mark 'M' stamped on the guard. This knife would make an important addition to any collection.
This knife measures 14 1/16" overall. The blade itself measures 9 1/2".
The spine of the handle is ID'd by the soldier that carried it.
This Australian World War 2 fighting knife is in excellent condition. The blade has no nicks (there is one spot on the blade edge on one side that looks like a nick in my photos, but which is only a spot of patina). The handle is excellent, and the guard is perfectly tight. The scabbard is in excellent condition. All stitches, rivets, and the keeper strap are in perfect condition.
