1 rare Japanese World War 2 General Grade kyu-gunto dress sword. This sword has its original General Grade knot attached. This rare sword would make an important addition to any collection.
This General Grade sword has a fine acid-etched yakiba (temper line). The guard is stamped with the mark of the Suya-shouten, a preeminent maker of these swords. The backstrap is fully decorated.

The blade measures 69cm (27.2 inches).
This WW2 Japanese General Grade kyu-gunto dress sword is in excellent condition. The blade has 95-97% of its plating, and a nearly perfect yakiba. The wire on the handle is perfect. The tsuka covering is perfect. The saya plating is about 80%. There is some slight fraying of the cord for the knot. The gold wire knot itself is perfect.
