This Anderson fighting knife is ID'd to the soldier that carried it in World War 2. The back of the scabbard is inscribed '0324 KRUSE ED'. Many collectors like to search for ID'd weapons or field gear so they can research the rank, service record, and theater of operations the soldier served in.
This knife has its original Anderson scabbard. The scabbard has its leather tie-down thong. This knife measures 13 3/16" overall. The blade itself measures 8 3/16". The handle reads on one side 'ANDERSON GLENDALE, CALIFORNIA'. The reverse side of the handle is marked 'MADE IN U.S.A.'.
The top edge of the knife handle is engraved 'EWK'.
This fine U.S. WW2 Anderson fighting knife is in excellent condition. The blade has no pitting, and the usual carbon patina staining. The scabbard is in excellent condition. All stitches, rivets, the keeper strap, and snap are in perfect condition.
