This iron tsuba measures 2 13/16″ inches (71 mm) by 2 13/16″ (71 mm).  This tsuba is 3/16″ thick (4.75 mm).  The blade opening of this tsuba measures 1 1/16″ (27 mm) by 5/16″ (8 mm).

This tsuba is unusual in that it is particularly thick.  The blade opening (nakago-ana) has copper inside it to reduce the size of the blade opening.

This thin tsuba is decorated with Samurai family mon.  Traces of a thin 3-line border can be seen along the outer edge of this tsuba. 

This iron tsuba measures 3.0625″ inches (78 mm) by 2.9375″ (75 mm).  This tsuba is just 1/8″ thick (3.2 mm).  The blade opening of this tsuba measures 1 3/32″ (28 mm) by 5/16″ (8 mm).

This IJA sword has kanji on its backstrap.  The inscription reads ‘Hosei University Preparatory Department’.

The handle grip scales are made of gutta-percha.  They feature Roman figures.  The blade is stamped with the maker ‘WEYERSBERG IRMAOS SOLINGEN’.  The reverse ricasso is stamped ‘No. 923’.
