1 antique U.S. World War 2 Murphy Combat knife. This vet-ID’d Murphy Combat knife would make an important addition to any collection.
The aluminum handle is marked on one side ‘MURPHY COMBAT’. The reverse side is marked ‘U.S.A.’. This knife measures 11 13/16″ overall. The blade measures 6 1/8″ from blade tip to the nearest part of the handle.
The scabbard is the original Murphy sheath. The soldier ID’d his knife by marking his name on the front of the sheath ‘WALFIELD’. He also marked the sheath with the ‘V’ for Victory mark. Awesome…
CONDITION:
This antique U.S. World War II Murphy Combat knife is in excellent condition. The blade has only very minor surface oxidation spotting. There is a cut at the left throat rivet–this is almost always the case on carried Murphy Combat knives.
