Description
1 early US WWII Ek knife. This is the model 6 ‘Patton’ commando knife. This fine WW2 Ek fighting knife would make an important addition to any collection.
The blade ricasso is stamped ‘6 B133’. That low serial number makes it an early-War knife. If we are remembering correctly, the serial numbers went started with A001 up to A999, then B001 up to B999, etc.
The handle is made of walnut, and is attached with lead rivets.
This knife measures 12 3/8″ overall. The blade itself measures 6 7/8″.
An original Ek sheath is paired with this US WWII Ek knife. Ek knives had either Ek sheaths or a Case sheath that Ek knives provided. Then some Ek knives ended up with other various sheaths.
The Ek model 6 was later named by John Ek the ‘Patton’ knife.
CONDITION:
This John Ek WW2 fighting knife was carried in battle. The blade had oxidation at some point–occasional pitting remains. The sheath is in excellent condition.
