This is the premium variation with the shagreen/sharkskin saya (scabbard) as opposed to the more common leather saya.
This dirk measures 13 inches overall. The blade itself measures 8 1/4 inches.
This IJN Officer’s dirk has a nearly perfect yakiba (hamon).
CONDITION:
This World War II Japanese Naval Officer Dirk is in near-mint condition. The wire handle wrap is perfect. The blade has no sharpening. The hamon is clearly visible. The saya is in perfect condition. All fittings are nice and tight. The locking mechanism functions perfectly.
