Description
1 vintage Fairbairn-Sykes WWII commando knife w/scabbard. A third pattern British commando knife in this condition would make an important addition to any collection.
This F/S knife measures 11 7/16″ overall. The blade itself measures 6 11/16″. The scabbard has no markings.
The handle is made of turned wood. As World War 2 went on, most countries utilized wood more often as brass, steel, and other metals became more scarce.
CONDITION:
This vintage Fairbairn-Sykes WWII knife is in excellent condition. The blade edges are very sharp. The handle and guard are in excellent condition. There is one tight crack in the wood towards the pommel. Everything is nice and tight with no wiggle. The elastic keeper strap is gone (as is the case with 95% of WWII Fairbairns).
This rare British WW2 3rd pattern commando knife deserves a home in a premium collection.
