1 Japanese World War 2 Naval Officer’s dress sword.  This sword has the high grade sharkskin saya/scabbard.  This sword would make an important addition to any collection.

 

This sword measures 33 5/8″ overall when in its saya.  

CONDITION:

This WW2 Japanese Naval Officer’s dress sword is in exceptional condition.  The blade is excellent with 95% plating.  On the entire blade there are only three little spots with corrosion–totaling less than the surface area of a U.S. dime (the smallest coin in U.S. coinage).  The wire on the handle is perfect.  The sharkskin on the saya is nearly perfect.  The lock mechanism functions perfectly.  

 

This is a high-grade example of a WW2 Japanese IJN Naval Officer’s dress sword.
