1 antique 19th century U.S. Army M1890 Entrenching Tool. This antique entrenching knife would make a rare addition to any collection.
This entrenching tool was made by Springfield Arms. The M1890 entrenching tool/knife was carried during the Indian Wars. The turned wood handle is stamped ‘US‘. This entrenching knife measures 12 3/4″ in length.
The brass and leather scabbard is also stamped ‘U.S.‘.
CONDITION:
This antique Springfield Arms M1890 Entrenching Tool is in excellent condition. This entrenching knife was kept carefully sharpened on a stone. Everything is nice and tight on this tool with no movement or looseness whatsoever. The turned wood handle is excellent.
The scabbard has minor scuffs and dings in a few places. The brass throat fitting is nice and tight with no movement, and all stitches are present.
