Description
1 Alaska theater WWII knife available. This WW2 Cattaraugus 225Q Quartermaster fighting knife would make an important addition to any collection.
The sheath has ‘ATTU’ marked on the front.
On the back of the sheath it is fully vet identified. It reads ‘MAY 11, 1943 William F. Cole HART, Mich.’.
This knife measures 10 1/2″ overall. The blade itself measures 6″. The blade tang is stamped ‘Cattaraugus 225Q’.
The 225Q blade was designed extra thick for prying open shipping crates during the War. The pommel on the 225Q Quartermaster fighting knife has a hammer head for pounding the crate lids back down again.
CONDITION:
This Alaska theater WWII knife and sheath are in excellent condition. The knife has its original factory edge. The sheath is exceptional as well.
