CONDITION:

This vintage World War II Japanese sword is in excellent condition.  The boshi is perfectly visible on both sides of the kissaki (blade tip section).  The blade has no nicks.  There are some scratches near the blade tip from cutting.  The blade looks great.  One can see occasional slight surface oxidation on the blade.  The blade is perfectly straight.  The handle and fittings are in exceptional condition.  The sword locks tightly into the saya/scabbard, and functions perfectly.  The saya drag fitting is missing–the asking price is $100 less than normal so that the collector/dealer who buys this sword can buy one to replace it.

The temper line and boshi are perfectly healthy.  This sword is, as always, guaranteed against fatal flaws.

A WW2 Army Officer’s sword, by the 2 milllion yen smith and Sword Forging Teacher, Kanemichi, would make a rare and important addition to any collection.
