The Marine wrote the places in the Pacific he fought on as well. A few in the list--Midway, Marshall Islands, etc. He also noted the ships that he was on--the U.S.S. Natoma Bay, U.S.S. Gemini, etc.
This Mark 2 variation has a thick red spacer next to the guard. The blade is parkerized.
The blade on this desirable Mark 2 measures 6 15/16". The knife is marked 'PAL' on the front tang. The reverse tang is stamped 'U.S.M.C.'.
The knife is in perfect condition. The sheath has a couple of stains from aging of the leather.
