1 antique World War II Japanese samurai army officer's gendaito sword available.  This WW2 Officer's katana was made by Emura.  Swords by Emura are highly sought-after by collectors.  This sword would make an important addition to any collection.

The tang is signed 'Emura'.  

All military fittings are of the highest quality.  The blade measures 26 1/8" (66.3 cm) from blade tip to notch in the blade spine.  This water-tempered gendaito was made with tamahagane.  

The saya/scabbard has the higher quality spatter-lacquer finish.

There is just one tiny nick at the blade tip (it is so slight that it measures just 1/16".  The blade has occasional staining with no pitting.  The blade is perfectly straight.  The tsuka wrap is perfect.  There is not a single dent in the saya.  The saya is in excellent condition.  There is just some removable masking tape residue from a label the previous owner had on it.  The locking mechanism works perfectly.
