1 antique World War II Imperial Japanese Army Samurai Officer's shin-gunto sword available.  If you look for followed makers of World War II Imperial Japanese Officer's swords, this sword by Kanezane would be an important acquisition. 

This sword has a fine wavy temper line.  There is a Showa stamp on the nakago above Kanezane's signature.  This sword was oil-tempered.  

The blade measures 26 1/2" (67.5 cm) from blade tip to the bottom of the notch in the habaki.  

There is the tiniest of a flea-bite size nick at the very tip of the blade.  There are no other edge nicks to mention.  The blade is perfectly straight.  There is still some dried oil on the blade.  This sword went through a war, so expect micro-scratches, etc.  

The hamon/temper line and boshi are perfectly healthy.
