1 vintage World War II wood handle Japanese NCO sword available. This WW2 Japanese NCO sword would make an important addition to any collection.
The sword has a wood handle. The blade measures 26 3/8" from tip to top of the habaki (habaki edge that touches the blade). This sword has a blackened tsuba. The serial #'s on the sword and on the scabbard do not match. There is an arsenal stamp to the right of the sword's serial #.
This sword is unique, because it has the name of the G.I. that brought it back on the scabbard. There are also Japanese characters painted on the scabbard.
This vintage World War II Japanese NCO sword is in good condition. The blade has occasional pitting. The wood handle has a tight, stable crack on each side.
All of the fittings are nice and tight on this sword. The sword locks perfectly in the scabbard.
