1 vintage U.S. World War 2 Herder Commando knife.  This desirable U.S. fighting knife would make an important addition to any collection.

The handle is marked on both sides 'HERDER PHILA.   COMMANDO'.  The scabbard is also marked.  The G.I. that carried this knife didn't want the back wire to get in the way on his Herder knife, so there is not one on this knife. 

This knife measures 10 3/8" overall.  The blade itself measures 5 3/8". 

This Herder Commando knife is in exceptional condition.  The blade is excellent with only minor scratches from sharpening the knife on a stone.  The handle is perfect.  The scabbard is in excellent condition as well with no problems whatsoever.
