1 U.S. World War II Everitt knuckle knife. This is the black handle Everitt trench knuckle knife. This knife would make a rare addition to any collection.
The handle has the raised 'EVERITT' mark. This knife measures 11 7/16" overall. The double-edge trench blade itself measures 6 1/2". The blade is blackened.
The blade on this knife had a 'cant' put in it so that the blade follows the shape of the soldier's leg. The sheath is a U.S. M8 scabbard.
This WW2 Everitt knuckle knife is priced where it is, because, though completely authentic, it is pretty obvious to me that this knife was restored--and so a price adjustment goes with that restoration. The black paint on the handle was redone. The blade had rust on it--the rust was removed, then the blade was blackened again. There is surface pitting on the blade.
The U.S.M8 scabbard has damage to its tip--but the blade is kept completely within the sheath with no point exposed. The keeper strap and snap function perfectly.
