1 early blade-marked U.S.M.C. World War 2 Kabar Mark 2 fighting knife.  This early version WW2 Kabar Mark 2 combat knife, with its incredible Sailor's Knot-covered handle and wrist thong, would make a rare addition to any collection.

This early War variation Kabar has a blued blade.  The blade on this desirable Kabar measures 7 1/8".  The knife is marked 'KA-BAR   OLEAN, N.Y.' on the front tang.  The reverse tang is stamped 'U.S.M.C.'. 

The sailor's knot handle and wrist thong are beautifully complex.  The sheath is marked on its front 'CCC   USN'. 

The original grind lines are clearly visible on portions of the blade.  The edge was expertly sharpened in the field.  The blade has 90% of original bluing.  The guard is perfectly tight.  The sailor's knot handle weaving and wrist thong are perfect. 

This early blued blade U.S.M.C. Ka-bar Mark 2, with its awesome WW2 sailor's knot work, would make a rare and important addition to any collection.
