1 vintage World War II 2nd pattern Fairbairn-Sykes commando knife w/scabbard. This knife is in exceptional condition. A 2nd pattern British commando knife in this condition would make an important addition to any collection.
This F/S knife measures 11 11/16" overall. The blade itself measures 6 5/8". The guard is marked with the British broad arrow, and a 'B'. The guard is also stamped 'ENGLAND'. The top of the scabbard is also stamped 'ENGLAND'.
This vintage WW2 2nd pattern British commando knife is in excellent condition. The blade has 99% of its original finish. The blade is tipped a bit. The handle and guard are nearly perfect with no corrosion. The guard has a wiggle--the pommel has never been messed with. The scabbard is beautiful. This scabbard's keeper strap is missing--rarely does a World War 2 F-S sheath still have its elastic keeper strap.
