This early Randall has a brass pommel washer and nut, and a thick middle handle spacer. The sheath is a Heiser. The sharpening stone pouch was cut off the sheath by the guy who carried it. The brown button sheath is stamped 'H.H. HEISER MAKER DENVER, COLO. 1 7'. There is a rivet at the left side of the sheath throat.
This Korean era Randall model 1 fighting knife is in excellent condition. The blade has a nice edge. As mentioned, the sharpening stone pouch was removed from the sheath long ago by the guy who carried it. The vet later reinforced the back side of the sheath's belt loop with glue.
